Wayne Wallgren - Director of Global Development

Professional Bio

Wayne Wallgren, CIS
WorldWide Incentives, Inc.

As with many that find their ultimate career in an unorthodox fashion, Wayne didn’t set out on the path that he ended up on, but he’s glad that he did.

Wayne attended the University of Oklahoma on a track scholarship and ultimately participated in the 1980 US Olympic Trials as part of an exclusive group of 176 marathon runners that met the standard set to qualify for the trials. Things didn’t go as planned on race day but the focus and personal effort to get that far remained part of his ethos as he worked towards other goals.

Wayne’s initial exposure to incentive travel came when a client of his advertising and marketing company asked him to handle the details for a cruise his client was taking its 300 best customers on. Fast forward to 2017 and the marketing and consulting business is a distant memory. WorldWide Incentives, Inc (W2i) focuses exclusively on corporate meetings and incentive travel programs where Wayne uses the talents and drive that made him successful in both the marathon and his marketing / advertising business.

These guiding principals  - An intense focus on the desired result and the to get there, coupled with an acute attention to detail and the necessary changes along the way to insure a satisfactory result, get put to use every day in the development and execution of meetings and incentive programs for a broad range of clients.

His love for the industry has translated to 15 years as a member of SITE, 7 years of which were spent on the SITE Texas board of directors including a year as chapter president.

Wayne sums it up this way: “What a long strange trip it’s been”. The Grateful Dead.
